A shop homepage has a few seconds to show what the store sells. A well-presented category block, with chosen visuals and clear names, sends visitors to the right aisle instead of leaving them to dig through the menu. PrestaShop has nothing configurable for this, and this module fills the gap. You create as many showcases as you need, each with its own layout (carousel, grid or masonry), number of rows and columns per screen size, and location: homepage, category pages, a theme hook or a custom hook.

Each category in a showcase can keep its PrestaShop image and name, or get a dedicated image (with a mobile version), a marketing name, a short description, a "New" or "-30%" badge and a link to a landing page. The design is set without editing the theme: 5 presets to start from, then 81 options organised in tabs. The carousel relies on native browser scrolling (CSS scroll-snap) and about 3 KB of compressed JavaScript, without jQuery, and uploaded images are resized to 480 and 960 px so phones never download a 2000 px file.
