## Your product pages, read out loud

A growing share of your visitors would rather listen than read: on mobile, on the go, or because a visual impairment, dyslexia or simple eye strain makes reading uncomfortable. This module adds an elegant audio player to every product page: one click on "Listen to the description" and the product name, short description and full description are read aloud.

## Four text-to-speech engines, including one that is 100% free

By default the module uses the browser's Web Speech API: no API key, no cost, the voice is generated directly on the visitor's device. For studio quality, switch in one click to OpenAI TTS (tts-1, tts-1-hd, gpt-4o-mini-tts), Google Cloud Text-to-Speech (Neural2 voices) or ElevenLabs (multilingual model). A built-in test button validates your API key before going live.

## Smart cache: one MP3 per product and language

With premium engines, audio is generated once, on the first click, then cached on your server and served with proper HTTP headers (ETag, 304). Playback speed is applied client-side, so a single cached file covers every speed. The cache is invalidated automatically whenever a product is updated, with an optional lifetime and one-click purge. Your API cost is therefore bounded and predictable: at most one file per product and language.

## Built for accessibility and mobile comfort

The player follows the accessibility practices expected in the European Accessibility Act era: ARIA button states, aria-live announcements for screen readers, full keyboard navigation, prefers-reduced-motion support and a touch-friendly interface. It is the perfect companion to an EAA compliance effort on your store.

## Complete back office

From the back office: engine and voice selection, default speed, display position (below the buy block or within the product actions), content to read (short and/or full description), a character limit to keep costs under control, and cache lifetime. A dedicated tab lists every generated audio file with product, language, size and play count, with single, bulk or full purge, plus a statistics panel (files, disk usage, total plays).
