## Protect and brand your product visuals, automatically

Your product images are your storefront — and they can be copied in two clicks. **Automatic Watermark** stamps your logo or your name onto every product thumbnail, the moment an image is uploaded or thumbnails are regenerated. Your original files are never modified: only the displayed image variants are watermarked, so a fresh regeneration always starts from a clean source.

## Two modes: PNG logo or text

- **Logo mode** — upload a transparent PNG. Transparency is perfectly preserved thanks to a custom alpha-merge: no ugly frame or black box, unlike many watermark modules.
- **Text mode** — display your shop name, a copyright notice or any custom text. The DejaVuSans font is bundled with the module: no server dependency, identical rendering on every host.

## Pixel-perfect placement

Choose from **9 anchor positions** (corners, edges, center) or the **tiled mode** that repeats the watermark across the whole image — ideal against image theft. Set opacity from 1 to 100%, horizontal and vertical margins in pixels, plus text angle and color.

## A size that adapts to every image format

Logo and text size are expressed as a **percentage of the image width**. The watermark keeps consistent proportions from the large product page down to the category thumbnail, with no per-image-type tuning. A configurable minimum width avoids stamping micro-thumbnails (cart, search).

## WebP and AVIF ready

PrestaShop 8 and 9 now generate WebP and AVIF images in addition to the main format. The module processes **every generated format** (JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF) as well as high-density `@2x` variants, and automatically reuses the quality levels defined in your image settings.

## Lightweight, dependency-free, risk-free

No external library: the module relies solely on the GD extension available on virtually every PHP host. It hooks into PrestaShop's native `actionWatermark` hook, and resolves its paths defensively to work on upload, in back-office regeneration, or from the command line (`bin/console prestashop:thumbnails:regenerate products`).

## Up and running in 3 steps

1. Install the module and choose your mode (logo or text).
2. Set opacity, position, size and formats to process.
3. Regenerate thumbnails from _Design > Image Settings_ to apply the watermark to your whole existing catalogue. New images are watermarked automatically on upload.
