# PrestaShop Pack VAT Module 8/9: One Tax Rate and Price per Product

> Native PrestaShop packs have a single price and a single VAT rate for the whole bundle. This module gives every component its own tax excl. or tax incl. price, its own discount as an amount or a percentage, and its real VAT rate, then produces compliant invoices: exploded component lines or a single pack line with an exact multi-rate VAT breakdown.

A pack mixing food at a reduced VAT rate with accessories at the standard rate cannot be invoiced legally with native PrestaShop packs: the pack product carries a single tax rules group and a single price, and the invoice shows one rate for the whole bundle. This module fixes the problem at the root. On the pack product page you set a price per component (tax excl. or tax incl., the other field is computed automatically), an optional discount as an amount or a percentage, and the VAT rate applied is the one of the product itself. The pack price displayed in the shop becomes the exact sum of its components: cart, order and invoice always match.

At order validation, the module rewrites the invoicing according to the chosen mode. In exploded lines mode, the invoice replaces the pack with one line per component, each with its base price, its discount and its own rate. In single line mode, the pack stays one line but the tax details of the invoice are broken down per rate, exact to the cent whatever the rounding mode of the shop. Discounts appear explicitly on the PDF invoice, on the order confirmation page and in the customer account. Packs you do not configure keep the native behavior: zero regression risk.
