## You cross the €10,000 threshold without noticing

That's the trap of cross-border VAT. As long as your sales into other EU countries stay under €10,000 a year, you charge your national VAT. **The moment you cross it, you have to apply the VAT of your customer's country — for every country, from the first euro over.**

## And the wrong VAT isn't a rounding error

It's a wrong invoice, a wrong return, and an amount you end up carrying yourself. _The customer paid what was on the screen; the gap to the correct rate is yours._

## The right question isn't "which rate do I apply"

It's: does my store apply the right one automatically, does it know the B2B case, and can I file at quarter-end without manual maths. Three questions, one subject.
