Frequently asked questions
Which Cegid modules do you work with?
Cegid Retail Y2 (retail POS), Cegid Quadra (SMB accounting), Cegid Business, Cegid XRP Flex (cloud), Cegid PMI (industrial SMB). Official REST / OData APIs when available, ODBC or direct SQL for older on-premise versions. The quote specifies the method based on your Cegid version and the access your IT allows.
Which flows are synced between Cegid and WooCommerce?
Six flows: (1) catalog — products, prices, technical sheets from Cegid to WC, with ACF / custom fields; (2) shop + warehouse stocks — real-time or batch sync; (3) orders — WC orders exported to Cegid via Action Scheduler; (4) customers — automatic Cegid account creation, multi-channel dedup; (5) invoices — generated by Cegid, reflected in WC; (6) click & collect — WC reservations visible in Cegid Retail Y2 for in-store preparation.
Do you handle click & collect with Cegid Retail Y2?
Yes, it's the typical use case for the Cegid Retail Y2 + WC connector. Stock per shop is exposed on WooCommerce ("available in Lyon, Paris 4e, Bordeaux"), the customer chooses 2h in-store pickup or delivery from the central warehouse. Reservations flow into Cegid Retail Y2 so an in-store staff member can prepare the order, and a dedicated WC status ("Ready in store") notifies the customer by email.
How do you handle reliable batch jobs?
Action Scheduler (the native WooCommerce system for batch jobs). More reliable than a WordPress cron, native error recovery, automatic retry. Critical flows (order → Cegid) in queue with retry. Less critical flows (catalog, prices) in scheduled batches.
Compatible with HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage)?
Yes, fully. HPOS compatible by default — every new WC order goes to Cegid with the right metadata, on both storage modes (legacy and HPOS). If you're mid-HPOS-migration, we handle dual-write during the transition.
How much does development cost?
For a standard Cegid Quadra or Cegid Business → WooCommerce connector: from €6,000, delivered in 4 to 6 weeks. For Cegid Retail Y2 multi-shop with advanced click & collect or Cegid XRP Flex multi-company: €12,000 to €25,000. Free audit that costs out actual complexity.
Is the code mine? And maintenance?
Source code is delivered (WP plugin + Cegid / exchange server scripts), no IP clause. 12 months of compatibility updates included: new WordPress / WooCommerce / Cegid versions and fixes. After that, optional discounted maintenance subscription.
How do I track sync health?
Yes: structured logs of every operation with a dedicated WP Admin dashboard, 30-day retention, mail / Slack error alerts, automatic retry on Action Scheduler jobs. It's critical in multi-shop retail — if a shop has a sync problem, you see it within minutes instead of discovering it late through an unhappy customer.
