About us

You are taking over a PrestaShop store, sales are dropping for no clear reason, every update is a worry, or you are preparing a migration to PrestaShop 9. Before spending money on fixes, you need to know where the real problems are. The PrestaShop audit gives you that overview, carried out by the team that writes and maintains nearly 300 PrestaShop modules: we know what a well-built module looks like, and what breaks in production.

What we analyse

Modules, overrides and code

A full inventory of installed modules, active or not: version, maintenance by the vendor, overrides of core classes, hook conflicts, scripts loaded on every page. We read the code of the modules and of the custom theme, where most bugs and slowdowns hide.

Security

PrestaShop and PHP versions, known vulnerabilities in installed modules, exposed sensitive files, admin accounts, backups.

Performance

Core Web Vitals measured on the pages that sell (home, category, product page, cart), the slowest SQL queries, cache configuration, size of the statistics and connection tables. See our article why your PrestaShop database weighs 8 GB.

Technical SEO

Indexing, canonical tags, hreflang on multilingual stores, URLs generated by faceted filters, redirects, 404 errors, structured data. On these topics, see our articles on the PrestaShop canonical tag, filters and crawl budget and 404 error audits.

What you receive

You are free to carry out the fixes with your team, another provider or us. The report does not change based on your choice.

What affects the price

The audit starts at €1,800, with a fixed quote:

Factor Impact
Number of modules Every third-party or custom module is inventoried and read.
Custom theme A heavily customised theme takes longer to review.
Multistore and languages Each store and each language adds SEO and functional checks.
Volume A large catalogue or a heavy database requires more performance analysis.

The tools we publish to fix issues

Several common problems found during audits led to modules in our catalogue:

Frequently asked questions

How much does a PrestaShop audit cost?

From €1,800. The price depends on the number of installed modules, the size of the catalogue, multistore and the topics to cover. The quote is fixed.

How long does it take?

Five business days between access being granted and delivery of the report, followed by a one-hour debrief.

What do I need to provide?

Read access to the code (SFTP or SSH), the database and the back office. We sign a non-disclosure agreement if needed. No changes are made to the store during the audit.

Is the audit neutral?

Yes. The report is the same whether or not you hire us for the fixes. You can have them done by your team, by another provider or by us.

Do you analyse modules bought on Addons?

Yes. Every installed module is inventoried: version, maintenance by its vendor, known vulnerabilities, overrides, performance impact. We flag the ones that pose a risk.

What does the report contain?

The findings by area, their severity, the supporting evidence (code excerpts, measurements, screenshots), then a prioritised, costed action plan.

Do I need an audit before migrating to PrestaShop 9?

It is recommended: the inventory of modules and overrides is the first step of a migration. See our PrestaShop 8 to 9 migration page.
