WordPress developer
WordPress plugins, themes and integrations built to last.
We build and maintain our own WordPress and WooCommerce plugins. Your project gets the same standards: readable code, security by default, source code delivered.
WordPress can be adapted to almost anything, as long as the code you add is clean. A plugin written in a hurry slows down the admin, opens a security hole or breaks at the next update. We build and maintain our own WordPress and WooCommerce plugins, distributed in several languages. Your project follows the same rules: code another developer can read, security built in from the start, source code delivered.
What we build on WordPress
Custom plugins
Custom content types and fields, Gutenberg blocks, member areas, scheduled tasks, REST endpoints for a mobile app or an internal tool. Our approach is described in detail on the custom WordPress plugin development page.
Themes and blocks
Block theme or child theme, reusable patterns, blocks dedicated to your content. We avoid heavy page builders when the block editor is enough, because they drag down Core Web Vitals.
API integrations
CRM, ERP, email marketing tool, payment provider, translation service. Remote calls are queued, their errors are logged, and secrets stay out of the database.
Takeover and security
A site inherited from an agency, an abandoned plugin, a hacked site. We audit, clean up and bring everything up to standard, with a costed action plan before we touch the code.
Our WordPress development rules
- Security by default: nonces, capability checks, output escaping, prepared statements.
- Controlled queries: no queries inside loops, object cache where it helps, transients cleared at the right time.
- Documented hooks so your team can extend the plugin without modifying it.
- Built-in translations: translatable strings and Polylang and WPML compatibility.
- Testing on a copy of your site before going live.
What affects the price
Our quotes start at €1,200 and stay fixed once the scope is approved:
| Factor | Impact |
|---|---|
| Interface | A settings page is quick; a full management screen with lists and filters takes several days. |
| Integrations | Each external API adds error handling, tests and documentation. |
| Existing setup | Starting from a healthy base is faster than fixing a site loaded with competing plugins. |
| Languages | A multilingual site needs translatable strings and tests for each language. |
Real examples
A few plugins from our catalogue, designed and maintained by the team:
- DF Translate Pro: large-scale multilingual translation for WordPress and WooCommerce sites.
- Paginated pages SEO: automatic H1, title and meta with Yoast and Elementor.
- Two-factor authentication for WordPress and WooCommerce.
- WebP and AVIF Pro: image conversion and compression.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a WordPress developer cost?
We work on a fixed-price basis, from €1,200 for a plugin or a defined project. The fixed quote is sent within 24h of a 20-minute scoping call.
Do you work on WordPress.com?
No. We work on self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org), which lets us install custom code without restrictions.
Do you use Elementor or Divi?
We prefer the block editor, which is lighter. If your site runs on Elementor or Divi, we still work on it and point out the performance trade-offs.
Can you take over an existing site?
Yes. A one- to two-day audit puts a figure on the technical debt and security risks, then we propose a prioritised clean-up plan.
Do I own the code?
Yes. You receive the source code, the documentation and the access credentials, with no restrictive licence.
How long does a custom plugin take?
Two to four weeks for most plugins. A project with several external integrations can take longer; the timeline is stated in the quote.
What if I have a WooCommerce store?
We also build HPOS-compatible WooCommerce extensions. See our WooCommerce developer page.
