Lighter images, no external dependency
WebP AVIF Pro actually converts and compresses your media library files, locally, at the quality you choose. Unlike subscription tools that send your images to their servers and bill by volume, everything happens on your hosting: no quota, no credits, your files never leave your site.
Destructive or non-destructive, your choice
In replace mode, the original image becomes WebP or AVIF and URLs are rewritten in content and metadata, with backup and restore. In keep mode, a next-gen file is generated alongside the original and served only to compatible browsers via the Accept header: ideal for AVIF, CDNs and page builders.
A true image SEO plugin
Beyond compression, WebP AVIF Pro generates AI ALT attributes in several languages, emits ImageObject schema as JSON-LD, adds width/height dimensions to curb layout shift (CLS) and renames files with an SEO template. Polylang sync propagates each language to translations.
Designed for large libraries and agencies
Dry-run mode estimates savings before processing. Optimization runs in batches without timeouts, or in the background via WP-Cron, and WP-CLI commands let you process thousands of images from the command line. Diagnostics detect offloaded media, page builders and low disk space.
