A detailed look at how Frequently Bought Together Module PrestaShop 8/9 works, why we built it the way we did, and the thinking behind the features above.
The block that built Amazon, on your store
Frequently Bought Together is one of the most proven cross-selling mechanisms in e-commerce: it surfaces, at the right moment, the complementary products other customers actually combined. The module reproduces that block on your PrestaShop product page with checkable cards, plus-sign separators and a bulk add-to-cart button.
A total that updates before the customer's eyes
On every checkbox toggle, the total price updates instantly in the customer currency, with the crossed-out price and the You save line whenever the discount applies. Customers immediately see the value of taking the full bundle.
A discount that never leaks
The bundle discount is applied through a dynamic cart rule restricted to the bundle products only: it never affects the rest of the cart, is created only when the full bundle is present, and disappears automatically if the customer removes one of the products. The check runs server-side, not just in the browser.
Suggestions drawn from your real orders
When no manual bundle exists for a product, the module analyses product co-occurrence in your valid orders over a configurable window and offers the most frequent combinations. No AI, no external service, no API key: only your data, with caching to preserve performance.
Steering and measurement from the back office
A dedicated tab under Catalog lists your bundles with their views and conversions, and the creation form offers product search with autocomplete. You see directly which bundles convert and adjust discounts and compositions accordingly.
Built for PrestaShop 8 and 9
No Composer, no framework: a manual PSR-4 autoloader, vanilla JavaScript without jQuery and a standalone design independent from your theme. The module behaves identically from PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, on single stores and multistore setups, across the five catalog languages.
