A staging that never puts your shop at risk

The staging is created on the same disk as your shop. A full disk can block the live shop. Staging Pro therefore calculates the space needed before copying anything: files (without caches, logs, sessions and backups), database, safety margin and space always kept free for the shop. If space is missing, the copy is refused with three clear figures (needed, available, missing) and concrete solutions. During the copy, the space is monitored continuously and every write is checked: if there is a problem, the copy stops and the partial copy is removed automatically.

A wizard designed to avoid bad surprises

Choose the location (subfolder, subdomain, same or separate database), the data to copy and the protections, then run the pre-checks. The report shows the estimated size, the estimated duration based on your last copy, the write and MySQL permissions, the PHP limits, the web server, and the largest folders you can exclude in one click.

A copy you can watch progress

The environment card shows the steps, the files and tables copied, the elapsed and remaining time, and the latest log lines. The copy advances in batches of a few seconds, with no timeout. If the page is closed, it resumes when reopened. A button lets you stop it cleanly at any time.

Noindex is sent by PHP on all pages, even under nginx. E-mails are always blocked, even if someone re-enables SMTP. Online payments and sensitive modules (cron, synchronizations, tracking, recurring billing) are disabled, and offline methods remain available for test orders. Protect access with an HTTP password or a private link that works on all servers.

Questions

Anything still unclear?

What happens if my hosting does not have enough disk space?

The copy is refused before it starts. The module shows the space needed, the space available and what is missing, and suggests solutions: share the images, exclude a large folder, clear the cache, delete old stagings or old backups. If the space disappears during the copy, it stops before filling the disk and the partial copy is removed automatically.

How is the space needed calculated?

The module measures the files to copy (without caches, logs, sessions, backups or other stagings) and the real size of the database tables. It adds a safety margin (10%, 50 MB minimum) and space always kept free for the shop (500 MB by default, adjustable).

My host disables disk space measurement (disk_free_space). Does the module work?

Yes. The module says so clearly, shows the approximate size of the copy and asks you to confirm after checking the space in your hosting panel. Write failures are still detected and the partial copy is cleaned up.

Does the module work on shared hosting?

Yes. The copy advances in batches of a few seconds with automatic resume: no max_execution_time limit can interrupt it. If the page is closed, the copy resumes when reopened.

Can the staging be indexed by Google or send e-mails to my customers?

No. Noindex is sent on all pages, even under nginx, and e-mails are always blocked, even if someone re-enables SMTP. You can also protect access with an HTTP password or a private link.

Can I place a test order on the staging?

Yes. Online payment modules are disabled, but offline methods (bank transfer, check, cash on delivery) remain available.

How does the push to production work?

You choose the tables to push, with the number of rows in the staging and in the shop. They are prepared aside, then swapped in a single atomic operation: the shop never sees an empty table. The replaced tables are backed up and undo takes one click.

Can I create the staging on a subdomain or in another database?

Yes. Choose "Custom folder and address (subdomain)" for a subdomain (created first in your hosting panel), and "Separate database on the same server" for a database on the same server.

Are my stagings created with version 1.x kept?

Yes. After the update, they stay listed and can be refreshed, pushed to production or deleted.

Is the module compatible with PrestaShop 9?

Yes, from PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, tested on PrestaShop 8.2 and 9.1, with an interface translated into 8 languages.
