What it does

The short version.

01

Back-in-stock waitlist

On every sold-out product (closeout, depleted stock), a subscription form appears automatically. The customer is notified by email as soon as the product returns, with no action on your part.

02

Two-layer restock detection

A subscriber on product writes reacts in real time to stock changes, and a scheduled sweep every 15 minutes catches updates made via direct SQL (orders, ERP imports). Idempotent processing: never a duplicate email.

03

GDPR friendly

Optional double opt-in to collect consent, one-click unsubscribe link, and automatic deletion of the email address once the notification has been sent.

04

Pre-order mode

Enable pre-order on a product via custom fields and show a badge with the expected shipping date, right above the buy button.

The long version

Everything you'd want to know before you install.

A detailed look at how DataFirefly Pre-order & Waitlist — Shopware 6 works, why we built it the way we did, and the thinking behind the features above.

§ 01

Recover sales lost to out-of-stock products

When a product is sold out, customers rarely leave empty-handed and come back later on their own. DfPreorder automatically shows a back-in-stock form on sold-out pages and captures the interested buyer's email. As soon as the product is restocked, an email goes out automatically in their language: latent demand turns into a sale.

§ 02

Genuinely reliable restock detection

Most solutions only react to application events and miss replenishments done another way. DfPreorder combines a real-time subscriber on product writes with a scheduled sweep every 15 minutes that catches stock updates made via direct SQL, by an order or an ERP import. Both paths share the same idempotent routine: your customers are always notified, never twice.

§ 03

Built for GDPR

Enable double opt-in to collect explicit email consent before any subscription. Each message can include a one-click unsubscribe link. And by default, the email address is deleted as soon as the notification has been sent: you only keep what is strictly necessary.

§ 04

Pre-order and headless integration

Beyond the waitlist, enable a per-product pre-order mode with a badge and the expected shipping date shown above the buy button. And for headless stores or mobile apps, a Store API endpoint lets you subscribe a customer to the waitlist from any frontend.
