A detailed look at how Mobile Swipe Shopping — Tinder-Style Product Discovery works, why we built it the way we did, and the thinking behind the features above.
The product discovery the TikTok generation expects
On mobile, classic product grids wear visitors out: they scroll, they skim, they leave. Swiping, on the other hand, has become a universal reflex. This module turns any category page into a fullscreen card deck: one product at a time, a large image, a price, and three possible gestures. Attention is captured, sessions get longer, and discovery becomes a game instead of a chore.
Three gestures, zero friction
Swipe right to like, left to skip, up to add to cart: the shopping journey shrinks to gestures everyone already knows. A stories-style progress bar shows how far along the deck you are, action buttons mirror the gestures for accessibility, and a final screen sums up the session's favorites with direct links to the product pages. On desktop, keyboard arrows take over.
Likes that never get lost
Every right swipe is recorded in the database, for logged-in customers and anonymous visitors alike. If the blockwishlist module is installed, the product is also added automatically to the logged-in customer's wishlist, with no duplicate entry. Guest likes stay attached to the session and can be merged into the account after login: the interest signal survives the journey.
Measure what your customers actually love
Every card viewed, every like, every skip and every cart add feeds a dedicated back-office dashboard: global like rate, ranking of favorite products, per-product attractiveness rate. It is a direct merchandising signal: you learn which products seduce at first sight and which leave visitors cold, without surveys or external tools. All data stays in your database: nothing is sent to any third-party service.
