Best-sellers
The modules our merchants buy most — refreshed continuously from real sales data, broken down by platform.
DataFirefly hosts more than a hundred modules for the three main open-source e-commerce platforms — PrestaShop, WordPress / WooCommerce and Shopware 6. Instead of listing them all, this page surfaces the ones our customers actually buy the most, broken down by platform.
The rankings below are computed directly from WooCommerce sales data, continuously refreshed, and reflect what genuinely moves out of the catalogue — not an editorial pick.
Why look at the best-sellers
A module that sells well is rarely a module that came out of nowhere. It’s usually a strong signal of three things:
- The problem it solves is recurring — many merchants hit the same friction.
- The implementation quality is validated — a poorly coded module never crosses 50 sales.
- Support holds up over time — DataFirefly actively maintains what sells.
If you’re starting a new project and hesitating between several solutions, starting from a best-seller is often a reasonable shortcut.
Best-sellers by platform
PrestaShop
The best-selling PrestaShop modules historically cover catalogue management, technical SEO and performance optimisation (Core Web Vitals). The platform keeps a solid EU market share and our PrestaShop best-sellers reflect EU merchant needs: native multi-language, GDPR compliance, marketplace integrations.
WordPress / WooCommerce
On WooCommerce, the best-sellers lean toward marketing (newsletter, on-page SEO, subscriptions) and productivity (stock management, returns, conditional returns). It tracks with the typical WooCommerce store profile: smaller catalogue, focus on acquisition and retention.
Shopware 6
On Shopware, the bestsellers are more B2B-oriented and lean architectural (CMS extensions, ERP integrations, theming). Shopware’s user base being mostly DACH and mid-market B2B, the modules that take off solve enterprise needs: customer-group pricing, pro forma quotes, multi-account customers.
How this ranking is computed
The data comes from WooCommerce’s total_sales counter, updated on every confirmed order. The ranking refreshes every 30 minutes and considers the full catalogue history — not just the current month. It’s a “what works long-term” read, not a “what’s spiking right now” one. For recent releases, see our New arrivals page instead.
What if I don’t know where to start?
Two complementary tracks:
- Our editorial selection of essential modules — hand-picked per platform, the ones we’d personally install on day one of a project.
- If your need is more specific (AI, automation, orchestration), the AI & Automation page filters the catalogue directly on those two families.
- Or talk to us — describe your stack and your top three pain points, we’ll reply with a motivated shortlist.
