v1.0.1 · updated 2026-06-05
What it does

The short version.

01

One click, that's it

The "Clear cache" button is added to the back-office toolbar. One click purges every cache, without reloading the page.

02

Every cache at once

Smarty, XML, Media and the Symfony container are cleared together, with an automatic file-purge fallback when needed.

03

Zero configuration

Install, enable: the button appears immediately. No settings, no admin page to configure.

04

PrestaShop 8 and 9

Natively compatible with PS 8 and PS 9, in single-store as in multistore.

The long version

Everything you'd want to know before you install.

A detailed look at how DataFirefly Cache Clear works, why we built it the way we did, and the thinking behind the features above.

§ 01

PrestaShop cache, cleared in one click

While developing and maintaining a store, you clear the cache dozens of times a day. DataFirefly Cache Clear adds a "Clear cache" button right into the back-office toolbar: one click is enough to purge every cache, without going through Advanced Parameters then Performance.

§ 02

Every cache, really

The module clears the Smarty template cache, the XML cache, the media and CSS/JS cache, as well as the PrestaShop 8/9 Symfony container. If the container is unreachable, a fallback directly removes the contents of the current environment's cache directory.

§ 03

No reload, with visual feedback

The purge runs via AJAX: the page is not reloaded. The icon spins during the operation and a notification confirms "Cache cleared successfully" within a few hundredths of a second.

§ 04

Built for PrestaShop 8 and 9

The module relies on an AJAX controller compatible with PS 8 and 9, with no Composer dependency and no configuration. It works in single-store as in multistore.
