An add-on that industrializes translation
DF Translate Pro sits on top of the free DF Translate plugin (required) and unleashes its full power. Where the free version gives you 2 languages and manual or one-off translation, Pro makes languages unlimited and automates translation at the scale of an entire site. It's the step from a polished bilingual site to a truly international store.
Translate the whole site, with cost under control
Bulk translation goes through your posts, pages, products, categories and tags and translates them in one operation. Before launching, an estimate shows the number of characters to translate and the matching cost for the chosen engine (Claude, DeepL, OpenAI). Nothing goes out until you confirm: you decide knowing the bill.
Translation on autopilot
Turn on autopilot and your new and modified content is translated automatically, without thinking about it. Its efficiency key is the per-field smart diff: if you only change a product's title, only the title is re-translated, not the whole page. You save tokens and your reviews stay focused. Autopilot can be disabled content by content when you want to keep control.
Translation memory and brand glossary
Translation memory remembers every translated segment and reuses it: the same sentence is never paid for twice, and your translations gain consistency. The brand glossary locks your terminology — product names, brand name, industry expressions — so it's always rendered exactly as you decide. The glossary exports and imports as CSV to be shared or reused.
Complete multilingual e-commerce
Pro completes WooCommerce where the free version stops: variable products and their variations are translated, order emails go out in the customer's language (subjects and headings included), and you can set translated URL bases with 301 redirects for perfectly localized addresses. Stock and price sync and the customer's language on the order already come from the free version.
Built for professional translators and agencies
Export your content in the standard XLIFF 1.2 format (title, content, excerpt, SEO metadata), hand the file to your translator or their CAT tool — Trados, memoQ, Smartcat — then re-import: translations are created or updated, their diff hashes refreshed and the review flag cleared (content translated by a human is reviewed by definition). For large volumes and continuous integration, the WP-CLI commands (wp dft translate, process, status, orphans) drive everything from the command line.
Reliability and updates
The translation queue (Action Scheduler, with a WP-Cron fallback) processes large batches without blocking your back office and retries automatically on a temporary failure. Your license grants 12 months of hosted automatic updates and support. Always with your own AI key: Pro industrializes translation, but never comes between you and your provider.
